Anne d'Harnoncourt
To honor their late director and CEO Anne d'Harnoncourt, the Philadelphia Museum of Art will offer free admission this Sat., June 19 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. In 2008, Gov. Rendell and Mayor Nutter declared June 19 a memorial day for the late art powerhouse who passed away that June. D'Harnoncourt began her career at the PMA as an assistant curator in 1967, began her stint as director in 1982 and added CEO to her position in 1997.
