BruceClaws Jersey.
Clearly, the greatest minor league baseball team to take the field is the Lakewood, NJ BlueClaws, a Phillies Single-A affiliates. Saturday marked the third year they have hosted a Bruce Springsteen tribute night. For one night only, they become the BruceClaws for no reason at all other than they happen to be in New Jersey and Springsteen fans will spend exorbitant amounts of money on anything Bruce-related (I speak from experience). Check out the sweet jerseys above, which are auctioned off after the game. WANT. The BruceClaws won, valiantly defeating the Delmarva Shorebirds in a 2-1 11-inning game. For those keeping score at home, Cheese won the Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese race set to "Hungry Heart." Bruce is definitely a baseball fan. The band had a softball team in the '80s called the E Street Kings and I know he's a diehard Bronx Bomber (sigh, nobody's perfect). But for the life of my I can only think of two Boss songs that reference baseball: "Glory Days" (clearly, along with the ridic video) and "The Angel" from Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ ("Baseball cards poked in his spokes, his boots in oil he's patiently soaked.") Am I missing any? Help me out in the comments. Then, of course, there's this...

Good catch, Anonymous. To the uninitiated, that's from "Blinded by the Light."

Anonymous 2, I figure not, unless the Texas Rangers often play in Harlem ("The rangers had a homecoming in Harlem late last night"). But the idea definitely made me giggle.
