Amy Orr's work
Every Tuesday, Critical Mass pokes around the art blog world so you don't have to.Philly Design found a local artist who either has a major credit problem or a bevy of gift card-bestowing relatives. Amy Orr uses old plastic cards to create consumer conscious murals. Some of her works are currently on display at the recently opened Philadelphia Invitational Furniture Show. — Space 1026 launched a new hand-printed book last week, entitled Today is Our Day. It features original work by 1026 artists including Ben Woodward, Jason Hsu and Leah Mackin. The Kindle may be able to store tomes, but it's got nothing on this. — Mac fans no longer have to schlep to King of Prussia to get their Genius fix come July, when, Uwishunu reports, Apple's first Philly store will open. This leaves just three months to convince yourself that you really could use the iPad, never mind its name. — As the Phils begin their frolic up from Florida for next Monday's home opener, the 700 Level looks into its crystal Rawlings ball and offers up its forecast. CP's head honcho Brian Howard also has some predictions of his own.
