Monday: Stay home and rest from the weekend!

Tuesday: Noisy garage rock from Vancouver, Japandroids courageously yell through their grungy sets. 8 p.m., $10, with Matt & Kim and Team Robespierre, First Unitarian Church, 2125 Chestnut St., 866-468-7619.

Wednesday: Producer and cracked soul and electro, Erik Rico is like the Beck of R&B. 10 p.m., $10, with Dot.matic, Kanu and Mydnite Angel, Silk City, 435 Spring Garden St., 215-592-8838, eavesdropsessions.blogspot.com.

Thursday: The husband and wife duo blast through shocks of casio claps and drive to pop chaos. The Handsome Furs create minimal melodramatic tunes. 9 .m., $12, wth Dri and The Cinnamon Band, 9pm, $12, Johnny Brenda's, Frankford & Girard aves., 215-739-9684.

Friday: I've got a twenty dollar bill that says you haven't listened to this band since you were in high school, or better yet still made mix tapes. Brand New is alive and well playing the pop punk emo. At 7 p.m., $29, with Robbers, North Star Bar, 2639 Poplar St., 215-787-0488.

Saturday: Light electronic soundscapes from the UK, Younger Brother is like a more progressive AIR. 9 p.m., $22, the TLA, 334 South St.

Sunday: Chomping Brooklyn indie rock, Takka Takka create swirls of sound with charming vocals. 8 p.m., The Nouvellas and The Albertans, 8 p.m., North Star, 2639 Poplar St.
