Please buy us this sweet Conan O'Brien solidarity t-shirt from illustrator Mike Mitchell.

The members of the late night television contingent are like a bunch of middle school girls: Lots of love until über crush — the 11:35 p.m. time slot — switches allegiances and then it's all back stabbing nastiness. After NBC proposed a shift of the Jay Leno Show back to 11:35 and the Tonight Show to 12:05 a.m., current TS host Conan O'Brien took the high road and is opting out of his contract, rather than ruining the sanctity of the hallowed chair-and-desk, as Jefferey Billman posted earlier this week.

Some good can come out of all of this: Mitchell's I'm with Coco t-shirts allow you to show your allegiance to everyone's favorite jolly red giant. A portion of the proceeds from the t-shirts will go to Haitian relief funds.

Prints are also available.

I really want to learn something like this because I know that I still need to learn more about it. Thanks!

Exactly...the artist does not have to do anything. But the fact that he gives a dollar for every purchase at least is something...not nothing.

If you care so much about giving money to Haiti then go to Red Cross like KJ said.

Mike made a really cool art and if you want a piece of his art then you have to support him too. Wouldnt you want an artist, no matter the genre, to do well if you like it so much? If not then no one is making you buy it so stop b*tching.

If the shirts are printed with an online company, the overhead is RIDICULOUS. On Cafepress an $18 teeshirt probably IS only making $1 profit. And how much profit do you think all "pink ribbon" products we're all marketed up the wazoo are donating to breast cancer research? This guy didn't have to do it. And if you want 100% of your Haiti donation to go right to Haiti, then go to the Red Cross. You don't have to buy a Coco teeshirt.

It says $1 will be donated. On an $18 shirt - even accounting for overhead - there's way more profit than charity.

@SMS — There's a line underneath the picture of the t-shirt that says "Portion of proceeds benefiting Haiti relief." Granted, there's no guarantee Mitchell will actually donate, but he's also letting people use his image on their blogs/twitters/etc. so this doesn't seem like a money-grubbing endeavor and let's hope that no one is that much of a dickwad.

I love this cause too but how do I know that a portion of the money will actually go to Haiti relief?
