Weird coincidence: Both the Tatted book party (which Carolyn Huckabay told you about earlier today) and American Mortals' Taking Beauty ' book party are tonight. As many of you know, American Mortals is a fab little hair cuttery in Washington Square (which does beautiful things with unruly curly hair, BTW). Its book features Chris Sembrot's photographs taken inside the salon, highlighting ' just like Tatted ' a very unconventional, distinctly Philadelphian version of beauty. Also, Taking Beauty ' 's release (see above for details on the where and when) will be held in conjunction with the closing reception of Area 919's "13 Months" exhibit.
