Phrequency fills us in on a slew of haps going down at Space 1026 this weekend. On Friday, they're having a preview of their upcoming auction (Dec. 10). Get there first, size up the cool shit you'll want to hang on your walls, and talk with guests and family, asserting your cultural dominance. On Saturday, WACKY WORD READERS are taking over with a night full of written comedy that's spoken, performed, or conveyed in any other crazy way. Then Sunday, you've got Artjaw Live with Shelly Spector, a panel discussion about who we are, how we got here and what in the hell we're doing. Holy copyright infringement! Philebrity dug up this video from Secret Pants, two buddies walk into a bar with The Count from Sesame Street. While it's pretty amusing, The Count drinking in Philly with his two "friends" probably isn't long for this world. Making a few jokes here and there usually doesn't piss off creators with creative license to nationally recognized children's television characters, but turning him into a drunk, depressed pervert might turn some heads. Look out, Secret Pants, that cease-and-desist letter can't be far now. Check it out before it's gone. Ah, being young —where days were filled with games involving chasing each other around for hours, burning off the copious amounts of sugar your parents tried to keep out of your hands. Simpler times, where saying "you're it" meant victory. Well if you're not up to anything Saturday, or if you happen to be between bars, Geekadelphia says swing by Washington Square at 5 p.m. for a massive game of FLASHLIGHT TAG hosted by GetOutPhilly. Be careful though because flashlight tag, as Geekadelphia puts it, is where friendships die.
