two of my favorite dishes there - the portuguese sausage and clams and the lemongrass eggplant and scallop hot pot. Both incredible.

Used to eat there all the time...not sure why I haven't been there in a while.

A fair question indeed! The soup itself was killer. The crab was already dead so cannot speak to his fighting abilities.

The soup was great and so was the salt baked squid!

So was the soup killer... or the crab?

I'll take that, Mat! It's Tai Lake right off 10th and Race. Best Chinese seafood spot around. A friend of my mom's, who is Chinese, once tried to recommend a Philly Chinatown restaurant to me, and his only descriptor was "it has fishtanks in the front." While that describes like 6,000 places in Chinatown, I'm fairly certain this was what he meant.

Forget the name, think it's called Ting Lake in China Town on 10th Street
