Sweetgreen opening in West Philly

POSTED: Tuesday, February 8, 2011, 4:45 PM
Filed Under: Openings
Strolling around U-City this past weekend when we noticed Sweetgreen-branded paper up  on a street-level space in the Radian (3925 Walnut St.), the multi-concept residence that also houses Capogiro and City Tap House, among other eateries. The growing healthy-grub chain, which opened its first area location in Ardmore in December, should be opening in about three months' time, according to the DP. UPDATE [09feb11]: Sweetgreen says this location is slated to open in "early April," and also put us on to a contest they're running during construction. All you've got to do is pose for a pic in front of the pending Sweetgreen site with your bicycle. Upload said pic to Sweetgreen's Facebook, and the two photos with the most "likes" (by March 4 and March 25) will snag a custom Sweetgreen bike.
