NOW OPEN: Test Kitchen at the Comcast Center

POSTED: Monday, February 14, 2011, 7:45 PM
Filed Under: Food Events
The Market & Shops at Comcast Center (1701 JFK Blvd.) plays host to a number of gourmet grocers and restaurants, so it's only fitting that they debut their very own test kitchen to showcase the best each one has to offer. The Center kicked off a series of food demos this past Saturday, Feb. 12, with demonstrations from Di Bruno Bros. and Tokyo Sushi & Catering. Upcoming demonstrations will come from Sook Hee's Produce (Feb. 19), Mike's Steaks (March 19), and guest chef Hope Cohen (April 16). All events start at noon, which should leave you ample time to pick up groceries with which to try out your new techniques. Can't make any of these dates? Worry not: Starting in March, the recurring demos from the Comcast Center's live-in shops will take place every third Saturday at noon and every third Wednesday at 5 p.m. — everything is open to the general public.
