A very charitable Boxing Day at Memphis Taproom

POSTED: Friday, December 21, 2012, 11:59 AM

If you feel the need, the day after Christmas, to decompress from family drama and intense fixation on the material, you're not alone. At the very least, the crew at Memphis Taproom (2331 E. Cumberland St.) has your back with a Boxing Day party that's all about you hanging out in a bar all day and making a few charitable gestures.

The taplist for Dec. 26, which you'll find after the jump, should keep you engaged for a good long stretch. What's more, the Taproom will donate 5% of the proceeds from beer sales to Taste of the Nation's efforts to feed kids in need. And they're also collecting donations of non-perishable food (to benefit People's Emergency Center) and warm coats in good condition (for HIAS Pennsylvania). Bonus: $1 your first drink if you bring a minimum donation of one coat or three cans of food, so dig deep before heading over.
