Today on Afternoon Snacks, we've got a huge bottle swap, a very special ice cream sandwich to ring in February, and plenty of dream kitchens to leer at.
Look alive: there's another Philly Beer Scene/Philly Tap Finder bottle share coming up, and this one's bigger then ever and at Han Dynasty (108 Chestnut St.)—so you definitely want in and might want to consider which bottles you've got that go with spicy-as-hell. (We talked about the last one here, and you can find more details here.) It's taking place at 1 p.m. on Sun., Feb 24, and you'll have to RSVP to bottleshare@phillybeerscene.com in advance (word of warning, they're not kidding when they say the list fills up quickly). The swap costs $15 per person, which is inclusive of snacks.
Here's February's special ice cream sandwich from Cookie Confidential (517 S. 5th)! That's Foam Floaterie's chicory coffee ice cream sandwiched between two Mexican coffee cookies, and of course it's rolled in tortilla chips. The ice cream and cookies both use One Village coffee, and the sandwich goes for just $4.
And if you are the sort of person that likes to ogle luxe kitchen design, Philly BizJournal has a slideshow up documenting their recent trip to the Fretz showroom at the Navy Yard, with tons of model kitchens for you to pine after.
