Afternoon Snacks

Philly CowShare's taking pre-orders now for a one-day sale they'll hold in West Philly this weekend. Options are a variety pack (about 13 lbs. total) of beef for $95 or a smaller pork sampler (including bacon, sausages, and chops) for $35—and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Philly schools. The actual sale will be held at the Calvary Center (815 S. 4th St.) on Sat., Mar. 2 from 2 to 6 p.m.

With regard to the ongoing hotdog watch that is the life of a Meal Ticketeer: Saveur gives us even more reason to want to visit Denmark.

And while most people are still talking about the latest place they've found horse meat, thanks to Modern Farmer for alerting us to the—yikes—counterfeit walnut problem in China.
