Afternoon Snacks

POSTED: Wednesday, July 11, 2012, 3:49 PM

Feelin' crabby? Cheer up with Maryland Crab Wednesdays, kicking off tonight at Route 6 (600 N. Broad St.)! Pay market price for individual crabs, three is the minimum but you can pay as you go for as many as you want. Bibs and mallets are on the house with purchase of crabs.

Keeping in the hands-on seafood theme, Oyster House (1516 Sansom St.) has two steamed lobsters, corn on the cob and drawn butter for $26 and peel-and-eat shrimp by the pound woth Old Bay and lemon for $18.

Warm weather makes choosing between a cocktail and a shake difficult to say the least. At Frankford Hall (1210 Frankford Ave.) you can have the best of both worlds thanks to their new menu of spiked shakes for $6 a pop. Here's a peek at the adult offerings:

Jack-N-Smores – chocolate soft serve and Jack Daniel's topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, graham cracker, a toasted marshmallow and a mini hershey's chocolate bar

Orange Creamsicle – vanilla ice cream, Stewart's orange cream soda and Smirnoff vodka topped with whipped cream and rainbow jimmies

Honey Graham – vanilla soft serve, graham crackers and Bärenjäger Honey liqueur topped with whipped cream and honey

Just wanna go for a shake after all? No worries, non-alcoholic versions are $4 each. Bottom's up!
