Let the games begin! Here's a round up of international Olympic-centric specials around town.

Afternoon Snacks: Olympics Edition

With opening cermonies happening tonight, bars and restaurants all over the city are offering up all sorts of enticing, internationally themed deals to get folks in to watch the games. Here's a look at some of the London 2012 specials kicking off this evening.

London Grill (2301 Fairmount Ave) is celebrating in true English style featuring Wells & Youngs specials during the Games. The specials feature $6 20-oz Wells Bombardier drafts, $6 16-oz Youngs of London ale, and $5 16-oz Youngs Double Chocolate Stout Cans. To ensure the most raucous and spirited cheering and/or booing during the games, London encourages you to drink a Wells & Young pint while watching a game in order to be entered to win a beer-themed goodie bag giveaway.

The Devil's Den (1143 S. 11th St) is celebrating the duration of the Games (today until August 12th) by tapping a different World Cup Award winning beer each night. Follow the schedule and expect to see even more winners as the Games continue:

German pub Bierstube Tsingtao (206 Market St.) is offering a special Olympic Flights to London deal throughout the entirety of the games. For $20, you get 4 8-oz glasses of beer, and each flight reflects a different worldly contestant in the games. Countries rotate everday, so you can come back again for a different flight on a different night.

M Restaurant (231 S. 8th St.) is ahead of the games, churning out Olympic-themed cocktails daily. Recent creations include The Torch (shot of White Sambuca on fire with 3 coffee beans), The Starting Block (dry gin martini, straight up with olives), and The Broad Jump (Prosecco and Canton ginger liquor) amongst others. Check out their cocktails as they create them for everyday of the Games.

Irish pub McGillin's Old Ale House (1310 Drury St.) is giving a nod to London 2012 with $4 Pimm's Cups everyday, $3 Stoudt's Gold every time the National Anthem is played after America wins a Gold and a new $5 Red, White & Blue cocktail (red and white-striped, rimmed with blue sugar and topped with fresh blueberries).

Meritage (500 20th St.) jumping on the Olympic specials game this week, hosting a daily 7 to 8 p.m. primetime happy hour so that customers and fans can watch the Games while sipping on $5 sangria and $3 local cans, and munching on $5 snacks.
