Baking, er, breaking news
Some sweet news for two Chestnut Hill bakeries.
Baking, er, breaking news
Looks like the 30 year-old Chestnut Hill bakery classic Night Kitchen (7725 Germantown Ave.) is heading up to New York for a very special James Beard event. Instead of a sit down dinner Amy Edelmen and crew have been invited to host a multi-course brunch on Sunday, April 14th. We're sincerely hoping those sticky buns are on the menu.
An just a little bit further down German Avenue, Bredenbeck's Bakery and Ice Cream Shop (8126 Germantown Ave.) is celebrating their 30 birthday on Monday, April 15th. In honor of this momentous mile-marker, the Bredenbecks folks are rolling back prices to the bakery's first year: 1983. So if you're in the market for Bredenbeck's signatures like Rum Rings and Newport Cupcakes, that's the day to get 'em at throwback prices.
