Black Moth Super Rainbow talks barrel-aged cocktails and a Philly friend

POSTED: Wednesday, December 5, 2012, 10:02 AM

Still up in the air about weekend plans? May we suggest heading over to Union Transfer on Friday to check out Pittsburgh mystery-psych outfit Black Moth Super Rainbow. Of course there are a few reasons that we're talking music on this here food blog. First off there's the man-eating orange on the cover of BMSR's latest Cobra Juicy and then there's the fact that frontman and chief vocoder Tobacco is high school BFFs with none other than Verti Family beverage manager Steve Wildy. So there you go.

Over at Food Republic Tobacco is talking Philly picks, burgers and Wildy-inspired barrel-aged cocktails. And if you like what you see it's worth a mention that Alla Spina (1410 Mt. Vernon St.) is quite convenient for a pre UT bite and a Tobacco curated playlist will be the soundtrack to the evening.
