Brew turns one on Monday; how to access the celebratory Pliny stash

Brew (1900 S. 15th St.) commemorates 12 months in official beer-boutique business this coming Monday, March 21. (Remember all the insanecrazybananas shit leading up to this point? We salute you, Brew.) And they're celebrating in style with a very limited tapping of Pliny the Younger, aka THE MOST AMAZING BEER IN THE HISTORY OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM OMG IT'S SO GOOD ONE SIP CAN CURE OSTEOPOROSIS AND A SINGLE DROP CAN BRING A DEAD WOODLAND CREATURE BACK TO LIFE the very highly regarded cult-following brew from Russian River. They're busting the beer out at 9 p.m. on the 21st, selling 8-ounce pours for $8 each. Obviously it's going to kick fast, but here's a little tip to make sure you get yours ...

Brew currently has an extremely limited number of VIP Pliny vouchers behind the counter, and you can get your paws on one by making a purchase. (We copped ours last night — as of 11 a.m. today, there were 20 left, Brew staffers tell Meal Ticket.) They're sure to run out before Monday (one per customer), so make sure you get over there and ask for one if you're into it.

The birthday party will also feature a raffle; prizes include a Chimay Grand Cru jeroboam (those are the comically large 3-liter bottles) and a pair of tix to South Philly Tap Room's always-amazing Founders Beer Dinner during Philly Beer Week in June. You can get one raffle ticket per purchase from now to Monday, and there's no limit on how many you can accrue.
