Meal Ticket got a first look at the swanky new Hotel Monaco set to open it doors on October 4th and with it the breathtakingly beautiful rooftop bar, Stratus. Located on the eleventh floor of the hotel, the lounge has a decidedly West Coast vibe with plenty of comfortable spots to enjoy a cocktail and take in the city views. The roof bar is pretty spectacular, the cocktails are great and you can't really argue with a views like these. Stratus is sure to become a quick Old City hotspot.

Kimpton bartenders have crafted a menu of smart cocktails including the St. James, a blend of Gin, Cocchi Americano and fino sherry and chef Guillermo Tellez has crafted a selection of small plates for snacking like sea salted caramel corn and Kennett Square mushroom sliders.

 

STRATUS COCKTAILS

 

Stratus

belvedere grapefruit vodka, maraschino liqueur, hibiscus syrup and prosecco

Besito

don julio reposado tequila, cointreau, apricot puree and prosecco

Forbidden Apple

calvados, grand marnier and prosecco 

Champagne Cocktail

champagne, sugar and bitters

St. James

tanqueray gin and cocchi americano stirred with fino sherry

Bourbon Apricot Sour

wild turkey bourbon and apricot liqueur shaken with egg white and madeira

Forbidden Fruit

hangar one mandarin vodka, passion fruit and don’s mix shaken and finished with port

El Diablo Verde 

partida blanco tequila, green chartreuse, pineapple juice and jalapeno

Grand Old-Fashioned

pierre ferrand 1840 cognac, green chartreuse and angostura bitters

Fall Collins

bols genever, spiced berry pepper syrup, lemon topped with club soda

Clover Club

plymouth gin, raspberries shaken with egg white
