Details on liquor privatization plan coming out in mere minutes

POSTED: Wednesday, January 30, 2013, 1:15 PM

Just a quick heads-up for those of you who enjoy tracking the seemingly endless drama that is the liquor privatization debate: the Inquirer says Governor Corbett will be talking about his plan in detail at a presser in Pittsburgh scheduled for 2 p.m. today. While firm details have been scarce so far, the Inky notes that "Corbett aides have signalled that they want the system squarely in private hands, and that they want to open up the wine and beer market to grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants and taverns, and big-box stores" in meetings that have taken place so far.
