Dinic's takes home the title of America's Best Sandwich

Other cities may have pit beef and grinders, Philadelphia has the market cornered on sandwich culture. Last night on the finale of America's Best Sandwich Adam Richman upped Philly's sandwich cred even further by awarding the top honors to our very own DiNic's roast pork. The provolone and broccoli rabe topped sandwich beat out some serious contenders including Al's Italian Beef in Chicago, Maine lobster rolls, and Domilise's shrimp po boy in New Orleans.

Eater checked in with owner Joe Nicolosi to see what's in store for the award winning sandwich stand. The verdict? Keep on keepin' on. Nicolosi isn't interested in expanding his roast pork empire, he'd rather keep his Reading Terminal stand as the one and only old school DiNic's.
