Capogiro's gelato-izing dukes and duchesses have come up with a number of beer-based treats for Philly Beer Week, which officially kicks off on Friday, June 3. (It's here already?!) After the jump, have a peek at which boozy gelati will soon find their way into the cold cases at any of Capogiro's four locations (Capo's tasting notes included). Oh, and we'll have plenty of written-while-sober Beer Week coverage coming up, so keep an eye open for that.

Lancaster Brewing Company: Strawberry Wheat. Super fruity and light.

Rogue Chocolate Stout: our annual go-to because we love Sebbie Buhler and Rogue! Oats, chocolate malt, real chocolate & hops — very balanced. Dark, but not bitter.

Dogfish Head Raison D'être: Belgian style brown ale brewed with beet sugar and raisins! Occasionally compared to wine, has a "decadent" feel (read: pit fruit, malty)

Dark Horse Brewing Company Tres Blueberry Stout: We got lucky here! It's a very fragrant (of blueberry) beer with malt, chocolate and fruit flavors. Very rad.

Rodenbach Original: Sort of a beginners sour — here's a shout out to the beer nerds out there — caramel & sour cherries, definitely not on the sweet side but with a really great aroma. Such an amazing beer.

Voodoo Brewing Company Voodoo Love Child: passion fruit, raspberry & Michigan tart cherries! Bottle conditioned & fermented, lightly spiced but still fruity. 10% ABV with a reddish hue.

Kasteel Rouge: Dark red color achieved by mixing sour cherries to a brown ale, this beer has almost an aperitif quality — barrel aged, 8% ABV. Also incredibly tasty.
