Free tix to a June 14 screening of "The Trip"

Awhile back we had the pleasure of taking in a screening of The Trip, Michael Winterbottom's BBC-miniseries-turned-movie that sees British actors Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon — playing exaggeratedly grating versions of themselves — screwing with each other, practicing all manner of celebrity impressions (see their Michael Caine contest above) and reflecting on their roles in the entertainment business as they eat at some of the best restaurants in the north of England. It's a very funny movie that you'll absolutely love if you liked Tristram Shandy, but you don't have to be familiar with Winterbottom, Coogan, Brydon or anything involving haute cuisine to laugh. (Liked this flick so much that it actually inspired our late-April tour of Philly's Full English breakfasts.)

Meal Ticket's got a big stack of "Admit Two" passes to a free advance screening of The Trip, scheduled for next Tuesday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ritz East (125 S. Second St.). All you've got to do to get a pass (good for two people) is EMAIL YOUR FULL NAME TO RESTAURANTS@CITYPAPER.NET WITH THE SUBJECT LINE "THE TRIP TICKETS." IMPORTANT: If you're planning on going, please GET THERE EARLY TO CHECK IN, as seating is not guaranteed.

Have fun! The Trip comes out in Philly June 17 at the Ritz Five.

UPDATE [08jun11]: Tickets are all gone! Thanks for the great response.
