Gluten-Free Food Fest comes to Philly on September 23

POSTED: Thursday, August 30, 2012, 11:15 AM

With more celiac-friendly menu options popping up every day it's clear that living gluten-free doesn't mean resigning one's self to a life of food boredom. Wheat-allegic food folks, mark your calenders, on September 23 the 8th annual Appetite for Awareness is happening in Philly. From 1 to 5 p.m. the Strawbridge building (20 N. 8th St.) is the place to be for all sorts of GF events. Bibou, Alma de Cuba, Rouge, El Rey, Melograno, and Spiga will be preparing wheat-free snacks, a gluten-free beer garden will be pouring pints and local chefs will be demo-ing celiac-friendly recipes. For tickets to this gluten-free food fest head over to Celiac Central
