HELP WANTED: Think you have what it takes to join Team Meal Ticket?
Hey kids, a few weeks back Meal Ticket put a call out for a few good interns and we got plenty of great responses. But the fall is quickly approaching and with it comes a busy season of restaurant openings and events. In other words, we're looking for back up.
Do you like food? Well, sure, everyone likes food. We're looking for a little more.
A background in journalism or English is a bonus, awesome food-tography (DSLR, please) skills make us smile, pervious blogging experience isn't a must but it sure does help. Otherwise the only requirement are that you're old enougt to cozy up to the bar and a serious knowledge of the Philadelphia food scene.
And as we said before this position is paid in perks, pizza, samples and schmancy invites to food events around town. Oh, and experience.
If you think you've got what it takes to join team Meal Ticket please email caroline@citypaper.net (subject line: Meal Ticket Internship) with your resume, a handful food-related writing samples as well as a brief summary of why you're chomping at the bit for this internship. Also please include two brief paragraphs covering two of the following topics:
Dream blog: Not one that already exists, one that would cater to all of your food and drinks related needs and desires.
Go-tos: Give us a reason to love your local hang.
Food trends: One that's over and one that's breaking out.
A taste test: Check out a sandwich, a slice, a Dorito taco or anything else you fancy and tell us about it.
