HELP WANTED: Looking for a few good interns

POSTED: Monday, August 13, 2012, 12:15 PM

Hear ye, hear ye! Meal Ticket is in search of a few good interns. This glamorous position is ideal for passionate, detail-oriented food obsessives looking to gain experience in the wonderful world of food blogging and beefing up the ol' writing portfolio.

Our ideal intern is 21 plus, food savvy, motivated and brimming with ideas and angles. Studying English or journalism? Great! Have your own blog? Perfect! Are you a DSLR master? Perfect! Front or back of the house experience? Even better.

This position is paid in perks, pizza, samples and schmancy invites to food events around town.

If you think you've got what it takes to join team Meal Ticket please email caroline@citypaper.net (subject line: Meal Ticket Internship) with your resume, a handful food-related writing samples as well as a brief summary of why you're chomping at the bit for this internship. Also please include two short paragraphs covering two out of the four of the following topics:

  • Tell us about your favorite food blog
  • Thoughts on the current climate of food in Philadelphia
  • A food trend that you'd like to see retired for good
  • Your go-to bar or restaurant in town
