Every second Saturday of the month, Nodding Head (1516 Sansom St.) hosts a special tasting highlighting one-offs, rarities and other interesting specimens from the brewpub's on-premises tanks. This coming Saturday, May 14, the hop-obsessed should swing by between 3 and 6 p.m. to take advantage of NH's hoptastic draft lineup. Check out what brewers Gordon Grubb and Mike Fava have in the works after the jump. (Free admission; pay as you go for beers.) Meet you there for few rounds of Goldihops.

IPA: NO CUTE NAME ON THIS ONE ... SIMPLY A FAIRLY STRONG (7% ABV) INTENSELY HOPPY AMBER ALE

GOLDIHOPS: VERY HOPPY LIGHT BODIED GOLDEN ALE (4% ABV) … TONS OF HOP FLAVOR AND AROMA WITHOUT HIGH ALCOHOL OR BITTERNESS … A SESSION DOUBLE IPA IF YOU WILL ... YOU’RE WELCOME

RUFUS: HOPPY GOLDEN ALE BREWED WITH BELGIAN YEAST(6% ABV) … A FAIRLY LIGHT BODY AND DRY FINISH … WITH NOTES OF PINE, CITRUS AND HERBS … GLASSES ONLY

MARAUDER: VERY HOPPY BLACK ALE (7% ABV) ... CITRUS AND PINE HOP FLAVOR AND AROMA COMBINE WITH ROASTY/CHOCOLATE DARK MALT IN THIS MEDIUM-BODIED BEER

DOUBLE DRY-HOPPED SAISON: BELGIAN-STYLE FARMHOUSE ALE (6.5% ABV) ... LIGHT IN BODY WITH A DRY FINISH ... MILD CITRUS CHARACTER, HINTS OF SPICE AND SUBTLE EARTHY NOTES ... BUT YOU KNOW, HOPPIER
