Lots of Little Baby's news

POSTED: Wednesday, March 6, 2013, 4:19 PM

There's plenty happening in the weird world of Little Baby's Ice Cream today. First up Grub's saying that the Cedar Park Neighbors approved LBIC's purposal for a second location at 49th and Catherine. But really, we're not all that shocked, what neighborhood doesn't want a wonderful ice cream shop?

This brings us to our second order of Little Baby's business. Gearing up for warmer weather and western expansion, LBIC is looking for help. They're in the market for shop assistants, ice cream tricycle operators for mobile vending and catering and perhaps the most intriguing position of all - production assistant otherwise known as maker of weird ice cream. For more information about these fabulous career opportunities head over to their Facebook page

Lots of reasons to celebrate, right? Well, we've got one more for you. This Sunday Little baby's is hosting the 2nd Annual Frankford Avenue Freezeout celebrating spring, the true beginning of ice cream season (although Little Baby's believes that winter is ice cream's natural habitat.) The Freezeout will include performances from Boss tribute Bruce Ice Cream and the Freeze Street Band and Debbie Kerri and The Kung Fu Girls, a Blondie cover band. Both bands boast staff and owners of LBIC. Ice cream revelers can also look forward to a 45 minute set from TV-famous magician David Darwin (you might recognize him from America's Got Talent, if you're into that kind of thing) and sets from Broadzilla DJs. Free ice cream will be scooping and a raffle with promises of plenty of funny and weird prizes such as a Pizza Brain pizza party for 11, a "Huge Exotic Fever Records Pack-o-Music" and Love City Roller Derby tickets.

We don't have a crystal ball or anything but we're thinking the Freezeout is going to be a pretty good time.
