Make your own Allagash beer dinner at a.kitchen tomorrow

This Wednesday starting at 6 p.m., a.kitchen (135 S. 18th St) will be doing its part to celebrate American Craft Beer Week. Chef Bryan Sikora has created a menu that features a variety of options to pair with drink from Maine's Allagash Brewing Company. Unlike most beer dinners, a.kitchen's lineup can be ordered a la carte, or guests can put together their own four-course meal for $65.

If you opt to dine a la carte (the regular menu will be available, too), expect to pay between $9 and $18 for dishes like spaghetti with Nova Scotia mussels, grilled halloumi and pork bolognese. Brews will run from $6 to $8 and will include Allagash Quad, a Belgian-style quadruple ale; Curieux, a bourbon barrel-aged strong ale; and Victor and Victoria, Belgian-style strong ales brewed with red and white grapes, respectively. Allagash rep Suzanne Woods will be milling around in case you want to talk beer.

Last we heard there was still some space left for the event. You don't need reservations, but you can make them: 215-825-7030
