Marc Vetri dishes on Christmas favorites for Food & Wine

POSTED: Wednesday, November 28, 2012, 3:55 PM

Over at Food & Wine Marc Vetri is talking Christmas in Philly and his picks are predictably solid. For holiday magic Vetri loves the twinkling orbs that grace the trees in Rittenhouse Square and sledding down Lemon Hill in Fairmount.

Sledding and Christmas lights are great and all but we were really psyched see Vetri highlight some of his Italian Market favorites. For food gifts Di Bruno's on 9th Street is the place to go for food-centric stocking stuffers like straight from Italy dried pastas and olive oils, wonderful cheeses olives and anchovies. Another holiday favorite is the ever-festive Isgro Pasticceria where the cannolis are filled to order with ricotta.
