Movember Madness
Well, November is drawing to a close and with it the end of everyone's favorite excuse to grow facial hair, Movember. Over at Frankford Hall (1210 Frankford Ave.) they're going to be hosting a Gala Parte to say farewell to the 'staches on Thursday night. Mo Bros (the dudes who participated in this anti-cancer campaign) are encouraged to come in costume and compete in mustachio'd competitions including categories such as longest mo, most creative mo, bushiest mo lamest mo and the grand title of Man of Movember. Prizes will be awarded in the form of shaves and free dinners. And of course there will be mustache themed specials on food and drinks running all night long.
Over in Manayunk the Movember festivities are continuing at Lucky's Last Chance (4421 Main St.) with a Mo' Bash fund raiser. A $15 suggested donation gets you admission, tunes from DJs Q-Ball and Reed Streets, an opportunity to ditch the 'stache with shaves from Valor Men's Grooming and beers from Weyerbacher and Great Lakes.
