Tapestry (700 S. Fifth St.), the beer-centric redo redux of Adsum from Kar Vivekananthan and his new partner, Rich Rivera (of Manayunk's Belvedere Restaurant Group), opens tonight at 5 p.m. We swung through for an industry-night preview yesterday evening and snagged a few quick photos.

The interior might appear relatively unchanged at first glance, but they've tweaked it out quite a bit — garde manger station at the end of the bar is RIP, allowing for more stools and a long drink rail separating this area from the main dining room. It all encourages focus on the brand-new 24-tap draft system (American craft-heavy, but plenty of Euro reppin' too), complemented by a bottle list that'll fluctuate between 140 and 200 choices. The menu deals in neighborhood options and prices — we'll post the full thing here when we get ahold of it, but know that large-plate options we peeped last night included shepherd's pie, nachos, crab croquettes, fish and chips, fried chicken, a boneless 8-ounce pork loin, fried rock shrimp and steak frites.

De Glazen Toren Saison d'Erpe-Mere on draft! Classic and so food-friendly.
