Pie-fecta kicking off this weekend at Magpie

They're calling it a mini-pie threesome but we'd rather go with pie-fecta.

Pie-fecta kicking off this weekend at Magpie

POSTED: Friday, February 8, 2013, 12:07 PM

Banana is the word of the weekend at Magpie, the artisanal pie bakery at 1622 South Street. Pie crafts-lady Holly Ricciardi is featuring a trio of banana-inpired mini pies this weekend in flavors like banana cream topped with cornflake crunch, banana rum frangipane and banana toffee with espresso whipped cream priced at $4 for an individual and $10 for all three.

This weekend's banana celebration is the kickoff of a weekly (weekendly?) series of mini pie threesomes (no comment). The next featured flavor is chocolate featuring a salted caramel pecan and milk chocolate pie as well one with white chocolate ganache and a brandied sour cherry compote.
