The FNA Chili Cook-Off is serious business

POSTED: Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 12:19 PM

This drizzly afternoon seems like the perfect time to share one of the weekend's warmer happenings: the Fishtown Neighbors Association 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off. If it seems like we've been telling you about a lot of chili cook-offs as of late that's because there have been plenty. This one sets itself apart from the rest in that it's no amateur competition, the contenders here are professionals. The $15 ticket gets you tastes of beefy, beany creations from the up and coming Cedar Point Bar and Kitchen and Loco Pez plus heat-quenching brews from PBC and Neshaminy Creek and a churned to order batch of Maryland BBQ ice cream courtesy of Little Baby's. The cook-off is happening on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at The Skybox (2424 E. York Ave.) for advanced tickets head to fishtown.org.
