Today: Dock Street Illuminator + Weckerly's ice cream

POSTED: Wednesday, March 13, 2013, 12:46 PM

Long-time fans of Dock Street are probably already acquainted with their Illuminator doppelbock, but newcomers aren't so lucky—the brew is just about to come back around after a 3-year absence. They're tapping the bock today at Dock Street Brewery (701 S. 50th St.) at 4 p.m.

Of course, as any 7-year-old will tell you, nothing says "celebration" like pizza and ice cream. Look forward to a special Bavarian-themed pizza from Dock St., and the debut of Weckerly's Figgy Bock ice cream—made with Illuminator and honey, plus a Turkish fig compote swirl. Suffice it to say, we're pretty excited.
