Yards beer dinner coming up at Ela

POSTED: Tuesday, January 29, 2013, 10:42 AM

Get your reservations now: next Wednesday, Feb. 6, Ela (627 S. 3rd St.) will welcome Yards Brewing for a special four-course beer dinner, and it looks like it's going to be great. The $65 prix fixe highlights awesome Yards brews like Love Stout and Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce Ale. Dishes tailored to go with include a surf-and-turf teaming of pork belly and striped bass, and a spruce-brined salmon carpaccio with pine ponzu for the tree-huggers among you. (NB: The regular menu won't be available that night.)

(P.S., even if you're not up for the full multi-course treatment, you might want to give Ela a call anyway: they're taking take-out orders for Super Bowl weekend wings as we speak. The wings are $10 for a baker's dozen, and you can choose from honey-smoked sriracha, truffled parmesan and herb, spicy Thai peanut, miso mustard, or a “regular boring” classic hot sauce version.)

First Course

Spruce Brined Salmon Carpaccio, celery root, cucumber and pine ponzu
Poor Richard’s Tavern Spruce Ale

Second Course

Hand-cut Tagliatelle, foie gras, black pepper and kumquat
Thomas Jefferson’s Tavern Ale

Third Course

Pork Belly and Striped Bass, black trumpet mushrooms, huckleberry and braised red cabbage
Yard’s Extra Special Ale

Fourth Course

Chocolate Cheesecake, burnt caramel ice cream and smoked passion fruit
Love Stout
