a.tease of a.kitchen

The public got its first taste of a.kitchen, opening soon in the AKA Rittenhouse (135 S. 18th St.) yesterday evening at a Rittenhouse Row Festival preview party, where chef Bryan Sikora served reception-friendly snacks like halibut brandade, duck confit and fava bean purée with olives. David Fields, who's heading up the project with AKA's Larry Korman, points out that these items don't necessarily reflect the style of a.kitchen's opening menu — for a taste of that, check out this sample dinner rundown. (Definitely an evolution from the menu teases we posted on March 11.) More soon; for a bit of background on the spot, peep our January post.
