American Meats & Provisions launches in Philly

Back in May, we told you about chef Tim McGinnis' plans to kick off a catering operation and a new restaurant as part of his new gig as culinary director of Philly Kitchen Share (1514 South St.). The first half of that equation has come into focus - American Meats & Provisions is the brand McGinnis and his also-a-chef brother Jason Roberts just launched. Their selection of Euro-style sandwiches is available for lunchtime catering, but the eats will also be carried at a number of local stores, markets and cafés. The first folks to carry AM&P's stuff? Our critic Adam Erace's Green Aisle Grocery (1618 E. Passyunk Ave.), of course. Check out five-sandwich lineup after the jump. Our favorite (we were treated to a couple sample-size bites recently) is the Cajun ham and cheese, layered with ever-so-smoky homemade tasso. Click to enlarge Prakesh Posted 2010-10-08 17:14:51
