Arterial Terrorism: Artisan's chocolate-streaked hazelnut croissant
Photo | Adam Erace It seems like we stumble on a new reason to love Artisan Boulanger Patissier (1648 S. 12th St.) each week (see here and here), the latest being their three-weeks-old hazelnut croissant. Cousin to their sweet-and-salty pistachio version, this bronze envelope boasts a filling of fudgy hazelnut paste and a crisscross of dark chocolate ganache. Nutella is the armchair comparison, but this is way beyond that, more like Nutella on buttery shards of pastry heaven. danya Posted 2010-12-31 16:39:43
