Bodhi Coffee coming to Headhouse in early April

Bobby Logue, who got his feet in the Philly restaurant business working at Old City spots like Sugar Mom's and the Khyber, is aiming for early April to debut Bodhi Coffee, at 410 S. Second in Headhouse Square. "With everything, we're going to be gunning for local, fresh and organic," says Logue, who explains that the café's food menu will "dovetail a lot off the farmers market" found in the Shambles across the cobblestones from his upcoming shop. Expect sandwiches and panini, plus breakfast-y baked goods and sweets from Betty's Tasty Buttons. Drink-wise, they'll be brewing Stumptown coffee, plus looseleaf teas.

Logue, who began specializing in home restoration after leaving the beer bar business, is relying on reclaimed materials for the interior of Bodhi — he notes details like black walnut countertops. He's also friends with noted lighting designer Robert True Ogden, who specializes in converting old fixtures into new setups and is working on the lighting approach for the café.
