National press outlets have been feeling us lately. First it was the Guardian over the weekend; now it's Bon Appetit, who shows Philly love in its July '09 issue with a travel rundown by Andrew Knowlton. We've scanned the piece in for you to read.

Knowlton's hit list: Franklin Fountain, Distrito, Zahav, Osteria, Bella Vista Beer, South Philly Tap Room, Johnny Brenda's and Reading Terminal Market.

(h/t Brion and Allie)

Yum. I can taste that HopDevil. Great representation from Philly's best brewery. Gotta get one!

We are so popular these days. All that "Sixth Boro" talk is so 2008.

Why I love Philadelphia: we are a serious food town. And beer town.

And the peaches in that ice cream of Franklin's come from Three Springs Farm. We'll all be able to buy 'em fresh this year again at the Fair Food Farmstand in the Reading Terminal and at Headhouse Market this summer!

Too bad the Beer Garden in the Terminal is a craphole of garbage beer. No love for the local beers and a decor of green plywood. What a black eye on the city. Does anyone know the owners?
