Filed Under: Booze | Dealage | Food Events

Next Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., Di Bruno Brothers' Italian Market flagship location (930 S. Ninth St.) is launching a new Wednesday night "happy hour" promo featuring complimentary tastings of craft beer alongside cheese pairings. The first installment will feature Flying Fish co-founder Robin Tama talking up offerings from the South Jersey brewery. The weekly event will run through Dec. 16, and to sweeten the deal even more, the cheesemongers are offering a 10 percent discount, on all purchases, to any customer who comes through.

@ambiguator: They make some good beers (the summer farmhouse and the winter grand cru), although I agree that the rest of their lineup can be mediocre (except the hopfish). The Exit 4 limited run they did was flat-out great.

Flying Fish... I wish they spent some of their marketing money on trying to produce a decent beer. I have yet to taste one that I like, and I have tried at least half a dozen.

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me a six pack, and I won't be back.
