David Ansill ... football fan?
Chef David Ansill, whose food has been a hit since he landed at Ladder 15 (1528 Sansom St.) earlier this year, has conceived a special "NFL tailgate menu" that will launch with the beginning of the NFL season on Sunday, Sept. 12 (the Birds will be hosting the Packers for Week 1). Management says that pricing has not been officially set just yet for the grub, but you can peep a sample menu of Ansill's ideas after the jump - a flaky biscuit-topped salmon pot pie sounds a little more appealing than Tostitos Scoops and lukewarm queso on the Ikea couch at your boy's dirty apartment, does it not? One thing in particular that caught our eye - with a week's notice, Ladder will roast an entire game-day pig for your crew of 10 or more. This just made my night and possibly the entire football season since the Eagles will have their work cut out for them. Pork to the rescue.
It's not a couch, its a futon.
Ansill rocks ! This could be my home on Sundays....they have the DirectV package there (I just called) and I cant think of a better place to eat and watch the Birds. Delicious.
