Over a beer the other night, one of the Lacroix cooks revealed that the boys on the line regularly update a blog. Just Food Pictures has no elaborate commentary — it's just, as you might have surmised, edible images. This outright foodie porn is from chef's table dinners, with each photo headed by a cryptic description that gives you an idea what the elemental flavors are, if not how they metamorphosized into what you see.
When I asked the incognito cook how new executive chef Jason Cichonski's food was, he replied, "He's got sick skills. The food is better than ever." From the looks of Just Food Pictures, the kitchen's tradition of progressive cooking has not stalled since former exec Matt Levin departed. Check that red currant fruit roll-up!
