Sansom Street's Happy Rooster, which came under new ownership in May 2008, is currently in the process of converting its overflow dining room toward the back of the space into a second bar area.

The new space will feature bar seating for 12, flat-screen TVs and a handful of two-top tables along a high banquette. Management says they hope to be finished with the project in about two weeks, at which time they'll unveil a new happy hour, with $6 "Angry Rooster" sandwiches and $5 cocktails and wine.

Good news. I always liked this place. But one has to hope they expand their beer selection... It's never been one of note.
