The city has spoken all the paperwork's taken care of, and Buttercream Philadelphia maven Kate Carrara will launch her mobile Cupcake Truck this coming Friday, Aug. 28, at noon at LOVE Park. (She's previewed her cupcakes at several stationary places prior to this, but now she's got the clearance to sell as an official licensed street vendor.) Here's all the info on the sugar rush facilitator on wheels, and some July preview shots of the sprinkly vehicle courtesy of the Center City District.

Congrats to Kate and to the city of Philadelphia! The foodies thought the cupcake craze was a fad, looks like they are wrong. We have uncovered more than 150 cupcake bakeries (a cupcake bakery is also known as a cupcakery) around the world in 16 countries.

Thanks for the YUMMY news!

She told Meal Ticket she’d have only about 400 in stock for this wave of frosted goodness, so get the hell over there. [...]
