King of Tandoor owner eyeing South Street
Tonight, Mohammed Islam of Fairmount's King of Tandoor (1824 Callowhill St.) will go before SOSNA to present preliminary plans for a second eatery at 1634 South Street. Islam tells Meal Ticket that the eatery - the working name is Indian Restaurant, which will be very easy to remember - will be about half the size of KoT. BYOB, at least to start out. I second that Caroline! Between this and what the Tiffin folks are opening in the 777 building we will finally have some Indian food in Graduate Hospital! Love the name, btw
