Kokopelli: Southwestern tapas for Rittenhouse

Adam Solomon, Kenny Yeretzian and Richard Brenner are working to open Kokopelli, a restaurant and tequila bar, in the former Pearl (1904 Chestnut St.) by the end of 2010. Named for the American Indian deity of fertility and music (if you grew up in the suburbs like us, you probably saw at least one Kokopelli sticker on the back window of a Volkswagen Golf ... hippies!), the spot will feature a menu based around American Southwestern small plates. No chef named yet, but we're told the owners are deep into the audition process. Keep you posted.
