Madeleines, multigrain and... maki?

According to a chalkboard sign standing on the corner of 12th and Morris, the pastry gods at Artisan Boulanger Patissier have gotten into the sushi game. "We get it from one of the chefs from Wegmans," co-owner Amanda Chin explained. "Delivered every morning." Though the selection of maki and nigiri--I had a respectably fresh salmon-avocado roll, $6.99--won't entice anyone looking for choices beyond the basics, it's good for South Phillies to have a nearby raw option for Mondays, when sushi sovereign Izumi (1601 E. Passyunk Ave.) is closed. Plus, it's the only sushi spot in town we know of to serve these unearthly apple turnovers for dessert.
