Matthew Levin takes over Coquette space
Filed Under: Chef Salad | Openings
It's official: Chef Matthew Levin, former exec chef at Lacroix, has just signed a lease to open a restaurant in what was Coquette at Fifth and Bainbridge, confirms partner Kar Vivekanathan. American bistro concept with a full liquor license; tentative opening is set for early summer 2010. Former Eagle/now Charger Jon Runyan is also an investor.
Back in August, Levin told Meal Ticket about two pending restaurants: Rubb BBQ in Manayunk and Masano and Second and Green. He's no longer involved with either project.
More details soon.
Great, a Republican politician investing in a cursed location for restaurants. I hope he's fronting lots of cash.
